SWAN Impact Network

2015

Fund General Partner, Bob Bridge founds the Southwest Angel Network in Austin.

2016

The network invests in early-stage Social and Environmental Impact startups, and makes its first investment.

Our Fund’s other General Partner, Juan Thurman joins Bob in running the network

2020

As the network becomes more national and international, it rebrands as the SWAN Impact Network, and adds a Dallas chapter.

2021

The network has 80+ investors and 28 portfolio companies.

The impact continues

SWAN Fund

2021

The network’s angels were interested in participating in opportunities that were later stage than the pre-seed and seed  companies that are the network’s primary focus.  And so the Semilla Climate Capital was launched in 2021, to give our investors a way to continue to fund fast growing impact companies and accelerate their impact.

The Fund builds upon the strengths of the network, including its impact investing experience, its demonstrated operating ability, and some of its strongest angels who are joining the Fund as Venture Partners.
